Position Overview
As the Director of Surgical Services, you will be responsible for the overall management of the Surgical Services Department, ensuring exceptional patient care, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
💡 You will oversee:
- 6 Operating Room Suites & 1 Cath Lab Room
- Surgical staffing, training, and quality improvement initiatives
- Implementation of best practices for patient safety and efficiency
- Coordination with executive leadership to drive strategic growth
Key Responsibilities
✔ Lead and manage the surgical services team to maintain excellence in patient care.
✔ Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
✔ Oversee staff training and professional development for continuous quality improvement.
✔ Monitor department budgets and resource allocation to optimize efficiency.
✔ Collaborate with hospital leadership and medical teams to enhance surgical care services.
Must-Have Qualifications
✅ Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher
✅ Current Arizona Registered Nurse License (or Compact State RN License)
✅ Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) & Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – American Heart Association
✅ Minimum 2 years of leadership experience as a Director of Surgical Services in a critical care hospital
Preferred but not required:
➕ Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) Certification
➕ Master’s Degree in Healthcare, Nursing, or Business
➕ 5+ years of leadership experience in Surgical Services or Critical Care
➕ Moderate Sedation Certification
