Senior Quality Engineer

We are currently seeking a dynamic NPD Sr Quality Engineer to join our clients team in Los Angeles, CA. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the quality of their hydromechanical/Electromechanical products throughout their development, qualification, fabrication, assembly, and testing phases. This opportunity requires on-site presence at the Los Angeles facility from Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive Quality Assurance support to customers and internal functions, encompassing Manufacturing, Assembly, and Test.
  • Efficiently manage the execution of new programs into production, ensuring strict adherence to customer requirements, while meeting schedule and cost objectives.
  • Develop and implement robust product quality plans, PFMEA, and control plans.
  • Review and approve product drawings, Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs), manufacturing process plans, and First Article Reports (FAIRs).
  • Supervise the effective review, implementation, and cascading of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) into manufacturing and the supply chain.
  • Actively support product proof-of-build (POB) activities and contribute to the evaluation and enhancement of manufacturing processes.
  • Lead structured problem-solving activities, utilizing methods such as 8D, Fishbone, 5-Why, and PFMEA, to address customer complaints, audit findings, or customer returns promptly and prevent reoccurrence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive quality experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality engineering disciplines and manufacturing concepts.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving techniques such as 8D, Fishbone, 5-Why, PFMEA.

Additional Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory due to the handling of sensitive military information or hardware.
  • No relocation benefits are offered for this position. Candidates in the U.S. willing to relocate at their own expense will be considered for the role.
  • Candidates current residing in Los Angeles or nearby commutable California location.
